THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION, EVER!
"Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
Matthew 24:3b.
What a question about what's going to happen? As a disciple, we just have to know!; even, in 2012. This eternally important question never goes away! The thought always is there. When will Jesus return?
WHEN will He return? Well, we have a lot more to go on nowadays; much more than the disciples in Matthew. For one, we know that Jerusalem was razed by Titus, a Roman general, who destroyed all but a portion of the wailing wall in A. D. 70. This adds up with Matthew 24:2, we think. Then, the nation is recognized by the United Nations in 1948. Israel's prophecies were on the way.The nation was always moving until the date above. Then, a chemist named Chiam Weizmann, a Zionist leader, President of the Zionist Organization, and the first President of the State of Israel was elected
on 1 February 1949, and served until his death in 1952. Weizmann was also a chemist who developed the ABE-process, which produces acetone. Acetone was used in the manufacture of cordite explosive propellants critical to the Allied war effort Factory. Weizmann transferred the rights to the manufacture of acetone to the Commercial Solvents Corporation in exchange for royalties.The nation had to have land. Thus, the 6 day war allowed them to get it. Oh! the fulfilled prophecies that we get to read today. The disciples of the day of Christ could not see or understand what would come about, as we do. Thus, we are so blessed to live in this time. Watch out, however! There are false prophets, everywhere. According to Jesus, these will deceived many. How many do we know that have been baptized and serve for a short time and LEAVE; going back to the world. This has always been a problem; even, in Christ's day – most forsake the Lord over doctrine, but many over the fact of Who Jesus was - the Messiah. Today, people are too worldly.Further, while Israel was dispersed into all the world for nearly two thousand years after Christ (Mt. 24:9-14). We learned that the Balfour Declaration gave Israel a place to live. Balfour favored the chemist named Chaim Weizmann. Lloyd-George wrote of meeting Weizmann in 1916 that Weizmann:... explained his aspirations as to the repatriation of the Jews to the sacred land they had made famous. That was the fount and origin of the famous declaration about the National Home for the Jews in Palestine ....As soon as I became Prime Minister I talked the whole matter over with Mr. Balfour, who was then Foreign Secretary.
There are many influences in the world; so, be careful. We have history, and we have Wikipedia to make the past simple for us. But study hard while you await for the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.
