JUSTIFICATION IS NOT BY THE LAW
"...A man is not justified by the law but through faith in Christ Jesus," Galatians 2:16 a.
The law is the covenant given to Israel by God though Moses (See Exodus 20). Biblically, it is known as a PERFECT LAW that could not be kept by anyone except the LORD Himself; that is, Jesus, The Christ. Fallen flesh only failed; but, it told us of sin, nevertheless.
Thus, Jesus came to honor the LAW – as a man, and fulfilled it (Matt. 5:17). Amazing Grace, the PROPITIATOR (Jesus) died for all mankind; shedding His blood. God, then, passed over the sin that had been committed by Israel and all mankind (Rom. 3:25-26). It is for that reason (not sinning) the Law was given (see Rom. 614-15) . First, the Law removed sin from out lives; in order to bring us to faith in Christ Jesus. "The LAW became our Tutor...that we may be justified by faith (See Gal. 3:24). Then, "But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a TUTOR" (GAL. 3:25).
The LAW teaching is clear but, until one really understands the meaning of the CHURCH, they will have trouble getting this. In His body, the church, we are without sin; not of ourselves, but through and by our LORD, JESUS. In Him we remain perfect by faith; that is, obeying all the words that He said in Scripture.
We are saved by Christ, risen up to walk in His teachings and, hear the Spirit teach us all things pleasing to our LORD. His CHURCH always assembles together. By faith, they hold fast the confession of hope, "for He who promised is faithful" (Heb. 10:23 & 25).
