"Spirit Supersedes the Law"
"For as ye are manifested to be the epistle of Christ, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God;
NOT IN TABLES OF STONE, BUT IN FLESHLY TABLES OF THE HEART," 2nd Corinthians 3:3.
Why can't understand why believers (so called) do not see their sins finished and paid for, when Jesus died for them. In His death the Law has been done away, as well. We live in the finished work of Jesus. That's why He came and died. He removed the Law and mankind lives by the faith of Jesus. That's Biblical truth.
Hebrews is extremely clear on this. "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation, Hebrews 9:28. Are you looking to Jesus, ALONE?
Today, grace is God's means of coming to Him. When Christ died for sin, Clearly – without any reservation, the Law was done away and removed. Mankind lives by the faith of Jesus, apart from works. The Bible states that Jesus died for all mankind. And, He died but once. In Hebrews 7:27, it clearly is stated that Jesus "...needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins (high priest's) and then for the people's; for this He (Jesus) did ONCE, WHEN HE OFFERED UP HIMSELF." That's the meaning of grace, friend. If you need to, read Hebrews 7:27, again.
Here's what happened! When Jesus died, the price was paid. Now, the Law was fulfilled because The Father demanded a perfect fulfillment of the Law before He could remove it. Jesus was pleasing to the Father. It's all by GRACE! All that was needed to bring mankind back to God was done, in His Son. Therefore, in our Lord's death, the Law was removed "out of the way." Now, just READ IT.
There is no doctrine that is so clear in the Bible. Just read it and believe it. Every where in the Word of God, the fact that the Law is removed is stated. Listen to Paul in Romans 7:2. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Further, Paul is very clear on this truth. "For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak though the flesh, God sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh," Romans 8:3. He condemned sin, allowing our hearts have the veil removed. We clearly see that the work of Jesus. He removed the veil on our hearts (See Hebrews 6:1 & 2removed and mankind lives by the faith of Jesus. and 9:3 on the Holy of Holies. It's very rich!)
We conclude then: "...Death is swallow up in victory," 1st Cor. 15:54. In his resurrection chapter, Paul rejoices that God has given us the victory in sending His Son to die for all of mankind. "But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (I Cor. 15:57).
The hope of the Second Coming of Jesus proves what God promised in Him. And, His coming will bring the new; including, a new earth. We "...look for a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness," 2nd Peter 3:13. Our trust is in His work; not ours.
