    "BAPTIST"
Each letter in the word 'BAPTIST' has significant meaning when it comes to BIBLICAL DOCTRINE
B stands for – BIBLICAL AUTHORITY (See: Matt. 16:18; 28:19-20 and 2 Tim. 3:16)
A stands for – AUTONOMY: Only the church has the power to work out the salvation that Christ ordained Her with, in His day (Mat. 16:18). And, She has never changed doctrine.
P stands for – PRIESTHOOD: Like the Levi tribe, every member of the church is granted power to conduct the Lord's work in EACH LOCAL BODY (Mt. 18:17-20; Acts 14:27).
T stands for – TWO ORDINANCES: BAPTISM & the LORD'S SUPPER (Baptism buries one who has died to sin, Acts 8:36-38, raising them up for work in the body).
Stands for - INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY: In Christ, one has freewill to serve God through the body of the church. Jude 3 remains true, EVEN TODAY.
Stands for - SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE: The CHURCH is not, at all, controlled by the state and, vice versa. America's Constitution even states this.
T Stands for – TWO OFFICES: Pastor and Deacon. Each independent church ordains men to serve as Pastor or deacon. Operating in faith, each body is complete.

On Sunday nights, our Song Leader, Brother Dan Ford, has been teaching from the book, "Things Surely Believed," written by Edward Byrd. Dan brought out these points last week. I'm sure there are are other ways to say It; but, this is what Trinity Missionary Baptist Church teaches and believes. The church goes all the way back to Jesus and has always held to these principles. Study it and see if it's not true.
