ARE YOU WATCHING ISRAEL???
"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:.." Daniel 9:27.
I know that preaching sometimes gets old, at times. And, our reading gets hard to do, as well. However, if you want to keep up on the world – relative to God's plan - you must do both, my Friend. Just make THE time for LESSONS ON ETERNITY. It is for this reason - not enough time - that I try to shorten the context and still make the point of God's Word. Of course, each point is biased, but, my bias has stood the test of time though out all the years, I believe. Briefly, I have learned so much from the Missionary Baptist Church that it thrills my heart. Prophecy has come alive.
Just take a look at Daniel 9. The weeks that Daniel writes about deals with the last 70 weeks of time, until Jesus returns. Each week equals 7 years (Dan. 9:24). Although, Israel is not the people of God ("Lo-ammi" Hosea 1:9), Hosea 1:10 tells us that the nation returns by the grace of God. That's His plan. Israel was God's people and, She becomes God's people, once again. Come on! Shout of Hallelujah with me. The prophecy is 70 years with 69 weeks completed, we understand. Concerning the last week, Daniel 9:27 explains that it - the last week - is divided into two 3 1/2 year periods. It is, THE TIME OF THE END.
In the middle of this last week, the Antichrist causes the Abomination of Desolation to be set up, Daniel 9:24. Then, God's angels take over, pouring out the vials of wrath upon the earth. This is a terrible time; having this last week winding up with even more wrath...Revelation 16.
THEN, THE END. "Behold, I come as a thief. 'Blessed is he that watches and keeps his garments...'" There is an Armageddon that we have to think about, as well (Rev 16:16). The end of Armageddon means the end to God's plan for Israel. Study it and write me your decisions. Thanks.
