LEARNING AT A YOUNG AGE
"And that FROM A CHILD thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to
make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus," 2 Timothy 3:15.

Salvation is personal, of course; and, can I remember being saved. Over the years, Scripture has become a blessing as I memorized and repeated what I learned over the years. And, it just gets sweeter as the days go by. Although, I wasn't all that young when I was saved (19), it was the only glorious time in my life. And, you know what? Scripture still comes to mind, more than not.

I guess that John 3:16 is foremost in my ever learning process. Right behind this Verse is 2 Timothy 2:15: "Study to show thyself approved, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD of truth."  Over the years, Scripture is what I have always trusted; not TV, Sports, etc. I'm not alone, of course. Others have written about their salvation, too.  A Sister from Texas tells of learning verses through memorization; as well. The wonderful truth of following the BIBLE always reminds us that God is and that He rewards those who serve Him.

As we grow older, the truth of Scripture seems to give the only comfort in life. Still, I can't trust in worldly things; although  I played sports and did a lot of things in the world. Only Jesus and God's promises in His Son continue to carry my heart. You know what I mean, correct? Try it ! Memorize verses and learn to repeat them over and over again. FAITH will blossom in your heart.

The Bible tells us that "all Scripture is given by the Word of God and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for reproof, for INSTRUCTION IN  RIGHTEOUSNESS," 2 Timothy 3:16. The Bible is the book that we must learn, certainly. Inspiration tells us that when we study and learn at a young age; it will "...make us perfect, throughly furnished unto GOOD WORKS,"  2 Timothy 3:17. Praise God for His giving us His word of inspiration. Further, thank God for parents that took us to church where teachers were ready to teach and Pastors were ready to preach to our hearts. AMEN !
