FEEDING UPON JESUS
"...I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be SAVED,
and shall go in and out and find pastures," John 10:9.
God has only ONE WAY to seek His will. And, it is only through His Son, Jesus, the Christ. He is the door; as well as, the way, the truth and the life for everyone that wants to serve. Seeking the will of the Father has to be within the Person of Jesus. And, just take one look at the green grass and PASTURE LAND that He provides; it's glorious. Every time that I look for something to eat, it's always right before my eyes. It's in His word; which, the Holy Spirit points out to me. And, it seems that I always stay hungry. It's tasty food, too. I love to feed upon what God has his people to eat. After all, it's heavenly food that produces muscle and tone
within our life. But, John doesn't stop there, he continues on about the Lord and Savior, Jesus.
John tells us the Jesus is the door; along with His being the GOOD Shepherd (v 11). So, take a look at the benefits of John's words. In V 14, Jesus tells us that the Good Shepherd knows His people. And, the blessing about this is the fact that we know WHO HE IS, as well. AMEN! Then, we get to look at the real sense of salvation, as we continue in John 10. The Father loves the Son because "...I lay down my life" (V 17). Jesus goes on to say in verse 18: "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again verse 18. And, Jesus said these words very confidently because He received "...this commandment from the Father" (v 18).
Our final analysis that becomes our eternal confidence is in the words of Jesus – a little later in John 10. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they FOLLOW ME (V 27). Oh! The wonderful words of our Savior, Jesus. He cares for us, declaring to His sheep that they "...shall never perish NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND" (V 28).
