"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son..." John 3:16 a.This time of the year we remember many things. Besides physical presents, God gave us His Son; our Spiritual present that gives us eternal life. Jesus was given to save the entire world from their sins. NO ONE IS LEFT OUT. God's son died for every man, woman and child.Peter and John said that Scripture teaches that in, Jesus, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved," Acts 4:12. That is a very strong statement. And it is so true. But, His work was not only to save people. He also came to teach all the saved to follow Him and make the necessary changes in their life. Sadly, the Bible shows that many saved ones do not follow the LORD. Some "leave their first love" (Rev. 2:4); "Hold false doctrine" (Rev. 2:15); and, some are "lukewarm" (Rev. 2:16).However, for the ones who obey, things change. Life is not the same, since they trusted the LORD. The world is no longer THAT important. In fact, while people obey the LORD, we read of their desire to be always pleasing and do what the Father desires.
That's been my prayer over the years. I believe that, since I was saved, it has been a major point in my life. I imagine standing at the judgment seat of Christ at His return. It's no secret - IT'S WRITTEN DOWN FOR ALL OF US !!! Further, only what Jesus says matters. When we become saved, Christ is our life, since. Therefore, the words that Jesus said two thousand years ago are applicable today. Jesus said for us to be saved; then, to be baptized and serve our Lord in His body, the Church - where we receive the "Keys to the kingdom of heaven" (Matt. 16:18-19. It can be hard; but, Jesus told us to give up our families and, even our own lives; if we are to be perfect in service (Matt. 19:21). Try Him, today. You can do it, friend. Further, you'll REJOICE.
