WISDOM
"The FEAR of the LORD is the beginning of Knowledge"

Webster Dictionary says: 'The power of forming the fittest and best judgment in any matter presented for consideration.' And, the Macmillian Dictionary defines WISDOM as 'The ability to know or judge what is right, good and true.' Yep! I'm in PROVERBS in the yearly reading. DO YOU WANT TO BE WISE? REALLY? Then, join with me in reading this tremendous information that Solomon learned from his father, David; as well as, the LORD, of course. Today, I'm reading from a NKJ Bible that I bought at a Garage Sale. I like to read various versions and, interestingly, a previous owner of the Bible made some marks in Proverbs. One of them says, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he" (23:7). This marking caught my attention; so, let's look at a couple of others. Another mark was Proverbs 6:23: "Reproof of instruction are the way of life." And, the footnote had Psalms 19:8; which states, "The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;" So, the Bible is to be read and, I believe, daily. The aforementioned Psalm adds, "The commandment of the LORD is pure;...the fear of the LORD is clean,...judgments are true and righteous." Psalms makes a strong conclusion that His teachings are to be desired more that gold, "Yea, than much fine gold." (V 10). Go ahead and mark your Bible. It's okay to do so. Some of its teaching is so glorious that we need to know where's it's found. Or, buy one at a garage sale that already is marked.
