CLOCK WATCHING
"For the LORD will have mercy upon Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob... and they shall rule over their oppressors," Isa. 14:1, 2b.
From the very beginning, man's salvation was planned by God; even, from the "foundation of the world" (I Pet 1:20). The Lord God would operate it - in and through - mankind, choosing Abram (father of height) to fulfill His will. Later, God changed his name to Abraham (father of multitude). Then, God told Abaham, "I will establish My covenant between Me and you ... for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you," Genesis 17: 5, 7.
With God in control, the plan will be done. We don't have to worry about it being fulfilled, at all. Further, God provided Abraham with a son of promise, revealing the chosen sonship by calling Abraham's grandson, Jacob. In this call, we are alerted to how God works in and through mankind. Israel will change man's position. This is clearly seen in the name change of Jacob. He goes from a supplanter and becomes Israel (ruling with God).
Israel, the nation, will now unveil God's plan. We understand that man was in bondage because of sin; but, after shedding the blood, man was free to serve and to rule with God. To show this, Kings came out of Israel, including the King of Kings, Jesus, the Christ.
Even, after Israel rejected and crucified their king, God would still use them. The nation went into dispersal; going into all nations, almost to never be heard from again. That is, until the United Nations recognized Israel (1948) and gave Her a place to sit in council with them.
There were a fews wars that solidified Israel, giving Her back a great deal of land. It is clear that God was not done with Israel; for, from Her the plan was to be worked out, falling upon all mankind with heavenly blessings. Millions would be saved from the Adamic sin because of Jesus Christ and God's plan. Further, His church was established to carry the truth "...into all the world" (Matt. 28).
Today, we are at a time that is know as, 'the last days.' We don't mean a time period; such as, the last 2000 years, either. The last days means that the END is near. Jesus is about to appear. At the resurrection, man shall be with God, once again. Death will no loner is a problem.
In these "last days," Israel is the main nation that the world has to deal with. Among all the current Arab unrest, with their hatred of the Jews added in, Israel becomes a CLOCK that we must watch, if we are to see the times, correctly.
There's not a part of the world that hasn't been effected by Israel and Her contributions. Of course, Jesus, the Christ being the eternal contribution to everyone. Thus, what Israel is doing, warrants our attention. Our UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.
Today, according to Matthew 24, 2nd Thessalonnias 2, the trumpets of Revelation and the Book of Daniel, terror is about to spread upon the earth so rapidly that a peace treaty will be necessary to save mankind. Otherwise, destruction is certain.
But, the signed treaty is only a false peace. After signing a SEVEN YEAR treaty with Israel, the Antichrist breaks it in the midst (middle). After THREE AND ONE HALF YEARS, 42 months or, 1260 days, terror spreads over the earth once again. Israel must flee "... where She had a place prepared by God, so that there she might be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days" (Rev 12:6). That, my friend, is the same 3 and 1/2 years or 42 months that fits into the seven year peace plan. Israel will be kept safe for that period of time.
Israel began man's salvation and, Israel will be in the end of man's salvation. While, God keeps Israel safe, we read in the same chapter of Revelation, number 12, that satan goes after the seed of Israel. It is those who keep the commandments of God (verse 17). That's the plan of God. Israel is the main time-piece - the eternal clock to study. It is imperative that you consider where you will be during this time. Trust Jesus as your Savior and, continue to trust by following His teachings.
End-times are for all men. The CLOCK is before us. We need to put down the cell phones and turn off the TV's if we are to get a reading of where the hands of God's clock appear.
In these last days - like never before - our attention has to be focused "... in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen" (Gal 6:16, 18).
