TITLES AND NAMES OF GOD
God is love (1st Jn. 4:8). God so loved the word (Jn. 3:16).
And Jesus "...took on Him the seed of Abraham" (Heb. 2:16b), demonstrating His Love by dying for man's sin.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (Jn. 15:13).

I love to learn with charts, time-lines and lists. These instuments are great for marking things off and pin pointing the facts. If you attend a New Testament Church, you probably have a poster that lists the Person and Attributes of Jesus, the Christ. View it again! Allow it to carry every meaning to your heart. Each Title and Name tells all that Jesus is; Who He is and what He did. Such helps teach us that Jesus is worthy to be worshipped; for He is God, the Savior.
And, when it comes to understanding that Jesus is God (not an angel), I remember the late Walter Martin's Biblical approach, proving the fact.
Revelation 1:8 words, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," couples with Revelation 22:13; which, repeats the same words of "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end," but also adds, "the first and the last."
Revelation 1:18, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore" joins with Revelation 2:8 to explain that Jesus is..."the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;"
There is only One that died - Jesus. He remains the First and the Last. Jesus is the same Being and now, He's alive. Jesus lives. We will, too! In the last book in God's Word, we are given a lot of titles and names that describe God and Who He is. We are thankful for His revelation. It is scary in places but, what joyous information to know God's love. In His mercy, the Father gave His Son; His only Son.
